As a grouup we decided to look closely into the type of music video we would like to choose. We needed to ensure that every part of the music video relates and
reflects the aimed emotion and plot. In terms of colour, in the current decade
it is very common for music videos to have edited the colours, this may consists
of trying out many different colours, shades and tints before concluding which
one is most suitable, however, its all about getting the colour that most
displays the EMOTION you are looking for. The colour of the music video has to
be back up by the costume of the character/characters and the colours they are
wearing. For example, there is no point in filming in black and white if you
want your protagonist to wear red because you will not see the red. It also
important that the colour of the model correlates with the colour of the music
video because if you are using a dark skinned person, and the colour of the
music video is dark, the chances of us seeing this person is rare. In addition the clothing would need to be either light or dark in order to be seen in the black and white filter.
